NSW Health Drug and Therapeutics Advisory Community of Practice for COVID-19

The Drug and Therapeutics Advisory Community of Practice (DaTA CoP) aims to provide an opportunity for sharing ideas, strategies, solutions, concerns and escalation pathway with respect to COVID-19 Pandemic preparedness.

NSW TAG was the coordinating DaTA CoP secretariat until mid-October 2021. Co-chairs were: Prof Sarah Hilmer and Ms Jenny Crane.

The CEC has now taken over secretariat functions of the DaTA CoP. If you would like to join the Community, wish to share any information or raise any concerns, please visit the CEC webpage or contact CEC-Therapeutics@health.nsw.gov.au

  • 2021 Temporary register of life-saving medicines for COVID-19-related issues

    A temporary COVID-19 Life Saving Drugs Register (LSDR) was created in May 2021 to enable ready access to medicines for COVID-19-related issues following discussions at the NSW COVID-19 Drug and Therapeutics Advisory Community of Practice meetings. The latest version of the temporary Register (last updated 30/8/21)  listed  fondaparinux, one of a number of therapeutic options for managing Vaccine-induced Immune Thrombotic Thrombocytopenia (VITT). The  temporary register is now no longer required and has been removed.
